About

Gabriel “Biel” Rosinol

CFO and founder, working at the intersection of finance and AI.

I am CFO at Hastee, where I lead financial operations across Europe, the UK and Latin America — including debt financing and international expansion. I arrived as a founder: I co-founded Typs.com and took it through to its acquisition by Hastee.

Before that, I worked in data and strategy consulting for leading European financial institutions. Alongside the day job, I advise fintechs on payments and implementation, and mentor early-stage founders. The work has also been recognised in fintech innovation competitions, among them Fintech Wars and MetLife Foundation Inclusion Plus.

This site is my lab: working models of the finance function that machine intelligence makes possible, built so the argument can be tested rather than taken on trust.

Practice

Six disciplines. One operator.

The work I get pulled into, as CFO or alongside one. Each discipline has at least one working model in the lab — the quickest way to see how I think about it.
  1. I. Financial planning & analysis

Multi-year budgets, rolling forecasts and scenario models that leadership actually runs the business on — with sales pipeline and order book wired into the plan, not reconciled to it afterwards.

    • Multi-year budgets
    • Rolling forecasts
    • Scenario models
    • Pipeline & order book
  2. II. Controllership & closing

Month-, quarter- and year-end closes streamlined toward rapid, repeatable delivery, including multi-entity consolidation run to private-equity reporting standards.

    • Fast close
    • Multi-entity consolidation
    • PE-grade reporting
    • Controls
  3. III. Accounting & tax compliance

Oversight of complex accounting and cross-border tax: intercompany loan capitalisation, VAT remediation, transfer-pricing policy and statutory filings across jurisdictions.

    • Intercompany
    • VAT remediation
    • Transfer pricing
    • Statutory filings
  4. IV. M&A & financial due diligence

Financial due diligence end to end: historical P&L and balance-sheet clean-ups, quality-of-earnings work, and earn-out structures for high-growth companies that survive contact with reality.

    • Due diligence
    • Quality of earnings
    • Historical clean-ups
    • Earn-outs
  5. V. Systems & treasury integration

Multi-platform finance stacks consolidated into one picture — ERP, banking, payroll, billing and CRM connected (Xero, QuickBooks, Stripe, Pilot and beyond) to sharpen cash flow and treasury.

    • ERP & banking
    • Payroll & billing
    • CRM
    • Cash visibility
  6. VI. AI-driven process automation

AI-native tooling and automated workflows that raise reporting accuracy and speed: transaction categorisation, variance commentary, reconciliations — with the controls to trust the output.

    • Categorisation
    • Variance commentary
    • Reconciliation
    • Human-in-the-loop controls

How I work

Three habits, kept on purpose.

  1. Decision-ready, not exhaustive

A recommendation with the reasoning attached, not a deck of options to adjudicate. Where the assumptions are weak, I say so before anyone acts on them.

  2. Three cases, always

Conservative, realistic, aggressive. When the three disagree on the sign, the number is not the answer — the assumption underneath it is.

  3. Operator, not observer

I have carried the number I advise on. It changes which risks I raise, and which ones I tell you to stop worrying about.
