Decision-ready, not exhaustive
A recommendation with the reasoning attached, not a deck of options to adjudicate. If the assumptions are weak, I say so before anyone acts on them.

Three cases, always
Conservative, realistic, aggressive. When the three disagree on the sign, the number is not the answer — the assumption underneath it is.

I have carried the number I advise on. That changes which risks I raise, and which ones I tell you to stop worrying about.
